The OSI Model (Open Systems Interconnection Model) is a theoretical framework developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) that helps us understand how data travels from one computer to another over a network.

Each word stands for one layer:

  • Aaj → Application Layer

  • Phir → Presentation Layer
    It formats the data, encrypts or compresses it so that the receiver can understand it properly.

  • Se → Session Layer
    This layer is responsible for starting, managing, and ending the communication session between two devices.

  • Test → Transport Layer
    It ensures complete and error-free delivery of data between sender and receiver. It uses protocols like TCP and UDP.

  • Nahi → Network Layer
    This layer finds the best path to send data and handles IP addressing and routing (e.g., through the internet).

  • Dena → Data Link Layer
    It adds MAC addresses and ensures error-free delivery between two directly connected nodes.

  • Padega → Physical Layer
    This is the lowest layer. It deals with hardware, wires, signals, and actual transmission of data as electrical or optical pulses.
